Hello Fighting Turtle Families,

As you know we are just a month away from our first swim meet (our Mock Meet on May 17th). In our board meeting this morning we were trying to wrap things up and make sure we had all our volunteer slots filled. Everyone has met their requirement of volunteering for 3 positions throughout the season but we still fall short in critical volunteer slots. We are in great need of parents to commit to volunteering as a Stroke & Turn Official.

A Stroke & Turn Official is responsible to observe the performance of each swimmer and ensure compliance with the rules of swimming as they apply to each competitive stroke. This person will turn infractions and report any disqualifications to the computer operator. Additional training is required to fill this position. The St. John Summer Swim League provides several dates to fulfill the additional training requirement and you can sign up at the following link.
