Good morning Fighting Turtles,
We hope everyone is enjoying the holiday weekend. We thank and appreciate all of our veterans for their service. A huge thank you to all of our volunteers this past weekend. You all were rock stars! We are getting very excited for our home meet this upcoming Saturday. We are so very thankful and happy to report that we have 100% RSVP for our upcoming home meet! Thank you! This is so helpful for the coaches as they prepare to get our team placed in their events for the meet!
Remember starting this week all practices will be held in the mornings and at the Murabella pool. New schedule is as followed:
Tuesday 5/30, Wednesday 5/31, Thursday, 6/1, & Friday 6/2:
6 & under 7:00 am- 7:45 am
7-8 age group 7:45 am - 8:45 am
9 & Up- 8:45 am- 10:00 am
Ribbons:
After each meet, the following week at practice there will be a ribbon box for both girls and boys. There is a file folder for each swimmer. Please check the folder to see if your swimmer earned any ribbons. We will make every effort to have them at the Tuesday practice but there are no guarantees. Swimmers that have placed 1st - 6th place in events will receive those specific ribbons. All 8 & under swimmers will receive a "Super Swimmer" ribbon if they did not place in the top 6 for their events. This is done to help encourage our youngest Turtles to keep working hard each week.

CLINICS: Starting the week of June 5th, Coach Junior will be holding specific themed clinics to reinforce skills and techniques taught at practice. These are a great opportunity for all of our swimmers to get more instruction in areas they need to improve. These clinics will run for five Mondays (6/5, 6/12, 6/19, 6/26, & 7/10) at the King & the Bear Pool from 2:00- 5:00pm. These clinics will have a swimmer limit for each session. The cost is $10 per swimmer for each clinic or $40 for all 5 clinics. This is a $10 savings when you pay for all 5 clinics up front and it will guarantee your spot at each clinic. To sign up please see Tina or Kelly on the pool deck with cash or check to pay for all clinics up front or individual clinics on the Monday of the clinic you sign up for. If you do not show up the day of the clinic your money is non-refundable. If you change your mind prior to the date, please have the courtesy to let us know so that we can free up the space for another swimmer. Should weather become an issue we will refund your money or move you to another clinic if available. A full clinic schedule will be going out in a separate email this week.
4-5pm ( 6& under )- 10 swimmers 5-6pm ( 7-11 years old) -18 swimmers 6-7pm ( 12 and up )- 18 swimmers June 5th- 1st Monday Clinic: -Freestyle · Drills to help with technique · Arm cross over · Head position adjustment · Breathing every 3 strokes ( Bi lateral breathing ) · Finishes Order for CHAMPS T-shirts: The Nocatee swim team is in charge of Champs T-shirts this season & is asking families that are interested to place their order by Thursday, June 15th.The shirts are $18 each, and swimmers can order and pay directly for the shirts by using the link below:
