Durbin Meet Information

July 7th

Hello Everyone,

Our final regular season meet is tomorrow at Durbin Crossing. Here is the meet information.

The Pool Address is:

145 S Durbin Parkway

Jacksonville, FL 32259

Heat Sheets and Entry List are attached. Please print a copy and bring it with you to the meet! Remember to mark your swimmer's name and event numbers on the left shoulder and forearm. If your swimmer is listed in a relay on the entry list as number (1-4), he or she is entered into that relay. If number (5-8), he or she is an alternate; and you will not see their name on that event on the heat sheet. Alternates, please check with a board member before you leave the meet to be sure that you are needed for the relay.

Please arrive no later than 7:05am.

Timeline:

6:45am to 7:15am - DCD warm up

7:15am to 7:45am – FT Warm up

8:00am – Meet Starts

After we clear the pool at 7:45 please send all 10 and under (Events 1-4) Medley Relay swimmers to Ready Bench. The first heat will go off the blocks at 8am.

We will have volunteer meetings at the following times:

7:30am – Stroke and Turn Judges Meeting (Run by Stephanie McLeod at North end of pool)

7:30am – Ready Bench Volunteer Meeting (Run by Terry Davis at Ready Benches)

7:40am – Timers Meeting (Run by Stephanie McLeod at North end of Pool)

Tent City will be located in the open field located at the south end of the pool. We are only allowed to use the back gate for entrance into the pool. Nobody is allowed to enter through the main entrance. The pool deck will be for viewing races only. All tents and personal belongings must be set up in the field. Please inform your families that they are not allowed on the tennis courts, basketball courts, or playground. Sorry but these are the CDD rules.

There are rest rooms back by the baby pool near the ready bench entrance.

The Family Pool is closed completely for the entire meet. The playground also will only be available to residents not participating in the swim meet. I apologize in advance for any inconvenience that this may cause. We only have the pool for our usage until 1pm. Thus, if the meet runs long we will shut down by 12:45pm

Parking will be tight. We’ve asked as many of our parents to walk if they can. No parking allowed in the circle drive in front of the amenity center. We will have parking signs and parking attendants directing traffic.

There will be concessions, a Hawaiian Shaved Ice Truck, and Chik-Fil-A biscuits delivered around 9:30am. Bring Cash. As always, feel free to bring tents, chairs, coolers and snacks.
