Julington Creek Meet Information and Heat Sheets
We are excited for another great meet tomorrow against Julington Creek! This e-mail contains a lot of important information.
The meet begins at 8:00am. Please arrive no later than 7:00am and check in with Jessica Crafts as soon as you arrive. If you are in the first 10 events it’s critical that you arrive on time. Please call or text Theresa Patch (201)600-8467 and Jenn Hoffman (619) 865-8213 if you have a last-minute change, running late or cannot make the meet. If you are volunteering please check in with Emma Cooksey (904-864-8920). Please do not leave without checking in with Theresa, Jenn or Josh to ensure that your swimmer's event hasn't been changed to include a relay (if they are listed as an alternate). They have combined events, 5&6, 15 H1 (only heat) & 16 h1, and 67 & 68
The meet will be held at the Julington Creek Aquatic Center located directly across the street from the Champions Club Golf Course. The address is 1140 Durbin Creek Blvd, St Johns, FL 32259. There is a spot on the pool deck reserved for our team. It will be the canopy area at the bottom of the ramp. We are also welcomed on other grass areas open and available. Personal pop up tents and folding chairs are permitted.
The times of all volunteer meetings will be announced on deck prior to the meet. All Stroke and Turn Judges and Timers (both sessions) must attend the meetings to receive instructions for the meet. Please have your swimmers write their last names, along with their initial written on their shoulder. We also suggest that all swimmers write all events, heats, lanes and strokes on their forearms. This information is very important expecially for the younger swimmers and helps the Ready Bench areas significantly.
They will be running flyover starts, meaning that swimmers stay in the pool after the finish and get out after the start of the next race. This will allow us to speed up the meet.
They will have concessions open with coffee, drinks and snacks. The Hawaiian snow cone truck will also be parked out front. There are rest rooms near the entrance – they are on the right side as you walk in. The ready bench entrance is located next to the wading pool near the starter blocks side of the pool.
Please note: The family pool, kid’s wading pool, and playground are only available to residents not participating in the swim meet. Please keep your swimmers away from these areas. There are showers on deck or in the rest rooms for cooling off.
We are so very excited for tomorrow!! We only have a few meets left.. We are all here to help one another so please don't hesitate to ask any questions.
