Hello Swim Families
Friendly reminder that we have practice tonight!
This is our last week at the King and Bear pool. Practices being June 5th at the Murabella pool. Please remember that parents cannot leave swimmers at the pool without a parent or someone designated to watch them.
We will have your T-shirt orders tonight!
Ice Cream Social Thursday 5/31 after your swimmer's designated practice time!
Volunteers: As you can see it takes a lot of time and effort to pull off a swim meet. Volunteers are the most crucial aspect of the entire process. We are thankful and appreciative to you all for signing up to volunteer this season. Our volunteer coordinator, Emma Cooksey, will be calling to confirm your volunteer role in the upcoming meet on June 2nd and also answer any questions you may have. If you have any volunteer questions please contact Emma 904-864-8920
Please remember to RSVP for every meet as soon as you can. This is such an important task that we need all families to do by the following Fridays, a week prior to the scheduled meet. We have included the deadline dates so please mark your calendars or go ahead and RSVP attending or not attending for all the meets this season.
6/09 - Heritage Landing away meet rsvp by 6/1
6/16 - Julington Creek away meet rsvp by 6/8
6/23 - Nocatee away meet rsvp by 6/15
7/7- Durbin home meet rsvp by 6/29
Helpful Hints to remember at the meets:
- The day before each meet you will receive meet information, directions, and heat sheets via email. Please remember to print the heat sheets to use at the meets. There is not a set time that this information will come out. We ask you to stay patient as it takes time for both teams to put a meet together.
- At the meets please check in your swimmer when you enter the pool and please do the same for yourself if you are a scheduled volunteer.
- It is your responsibility to help your swimmer(s) to get to their races so make sure to listen to the announcer as they call event numbers to the ready bench.
- At the meets encourage & remind your swimmers to get their times from their lane timer volunteer after every event they swim. Then they should go to the coaches table to report it & to get feedback from the coaches.
- If your swimmer is an relay alternate, please make sure to stay to the end of the meet incase they are needed for the race. Also if you are a 2nd shift volunteer, you must remain at your job until the meet is finished.
Have an awesome week and GO TURTLES!!
Thank you!
